Soldier Among the Trees

He left his wife a letter before leaving for the military. It read, "...If I don't return to you and my life is lost, you'll be able to see me every time you look up. I'll be sitting in the tallest tree, talking to the moon and the stars. I'll be thanking them for giving you light in the midst of the darkness. I love you..."

This is a beautiful soft pastel original painting that features the stunning imagery of a soldier among the trees. The art was painted on mixed media paper and adhered to a 16x20 gallery cradled wooden panel that is 1.5 inches deep. Art has been finished with a fixative spray and then hand-buffed with a wax medium as a protectant.
